Most likely you child was, indeed, born after 1982. What is the significance of that year, you may ask? Well, children born after that year are part of the "Millennial Generation". According to experts, this generation is the most protected and programmed group of children ever. And, apparently, schools, from elementary through college, are having difficulty working with students who have parents that control every aspect of their lives.

Children who have parents who do everything for them grow up to be adults who have their parents do everything for them. One of the greatest gifts parents can give their children is to allow them to exert and practice independence - so by the time they are adults they can be confident, self-relaint members of society.
